She Blinded Me With Science
9 chapters in 7 days. Star date on star base. Sci-fi gay romance.
I call them episodes because the next chapter hasn't been imagined yet. It's a serial or series. First day is almost complete.
You never know where inspiration will take you. I wanted to reflect. Fiction is hard for me to write because you have to make stuff up. Then remember all that.
If it's inspired, it's not made up. The story comes to you. Like the characters William & John. A few days ago I didn't know who they were. How William speaks in single sentences & has clarity.
I knew I wanted 5 or 6 characters to make a good porno. That much is contrived. What happens next? Of course everybody must have sex with everybody else. Or whoever happens to visit.
You can see the writing is rough around the edges. I have difficulty with verb tense. Dreams & memories are in the past tense. Present tense is for the now, the action.
Also I split a few scenes across episodes. Sometimes I'll get too tired. So I cut it off. Publish it. Then pick it up later.
If you asked me a couple months ago, I would not have seen myself writing fiction. I have decades experience writing nonfiction.
But I wanted to do something fun for a change. I love Blogger. It's easy to use. Flexible. Free.
In the serial, William makes fun of the captain for saying, If love is a secret, it will destroy you.
Through this blog, my love is no longer secret. The identity of my lover remains a secret. I share this blog with him. He reads it to me. It has brought us closer together. He poses for the pictures.
This dynamic informs the serial, which will become a PDF when the episodes are compiled together. It could continue forever as new people visit or are assigned to the star base.
But 20 chapters should do it. If you have something to say, say it. Then move on.
You already know how it ends. David & Jacob reunite. They move to Saturn Outpost. They get married as husband & husband. They live happily ever after.
